Graduation From Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts can be a five year experience for your son. Completing Cub Scouts is an accomplishment your son will carry with him his whole life. Once a year the whole Pack gathers together to celebrate the accomplishment of the Webelos II graduating from Cub Scouts at a Blue and Gold Dinner. At the Blue and Gold Dinner some Webelos II are awarded the Arrow of Light and cross over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts they have selected.

Pack Leadership

With each new class of Tiger Cubs who join the Pack a new class of Akelas also join. The volunteerism of each new class of Akelas forms the heart and soul of the Pack. All leaders at Pack 177 are volunteers who have completed leadership training for the den level they are leading. Leadership is a revolving responsiblity and can take the form of Den Leader, Assistant Den Leader, Committee Member, Cubmaster or Assistant Cub Master.

Leaders and Akelas follow their Cubs through their years of Cub Scouting moving up with their boys through each den level until they graduate as Webelos II. Volunteering can continue after Cub Scouting through Leadership in Boy Scouting or through continued committment to the Pack by serving on the Pack Committee or through donation of your time or talent to Den Leaders as they help their Cubs along the trail to acheivement and advancement.
